It’s no secret that the majority of customers for custom home electronics integrators are affluent and can afford large luxury smart homes and integrated systems. Recently, we looked at Zillow’s “recently sold” section and found nearly 4,000 homes labeled as “smart homes” by listing agents that were sold in the past month.

One notable property is a 7,500-square-foot home in Boca Raton, Florida. It features smart Crestron controls that allow the homeowner to manage every aspect of the home, from lights to music to security cameras. The home sold for ,225,000.

In New York City, a 4,700-square-foot condo on the Upper West Side was sold for .25 million. The luxury condo features a multi-zone Crestron system that controls temperature, audio, and central AC and heating.

A smaller but well-equipped home in Naperville, Illinois, sold for .2 million. It includes LED lighting, a surround sound Sonos system, a whole-home security system, and a theater-zoned surround sound home theater in the basement. The backyard also features outdoor TVs.

In Woodland Hills, California, a home sold for .75 million. It boasts Control4 and Lutron systems and features a soundproofed theater room with 4K surround sound and a 4K projector. The family room includes motion-sensored motorized doors.

Moving back to Los Angeles, a 4,400-square-foot home sold for .55 million. Its smart home features include a rooftop deck with lighting and surround sound controlled by Control4, a 4K streaming security system, and Denon surround sound.

In Eugene, Oregon, a home sold for nearly .3 million. It features a fully integrated Control4 smart home system that gives homeowners control over security, LED lighting, audio, and video throughout the home.

A 9,500-square-foot home in Henderson, Nevada, sold for nearly million. Although details about the smart home technology are limited, the home offers incredible architecture, views of the Vegas skyline, and two infinity pools.

In Phoenix, Arizona, a modestly sized home at about 2,800 square feet sold for million. It includes two Nest thermostats, Lutron dimmers, a security system, and smart pool controls. The home also features a whole-house water filtration system and a programmable irrigation system.

Another Phoenix smart home boasts custom technology, including a smart Wi-Fi gas oven and smart switches. The 3,300-square-foot home was sold for .1 million.

Lastly, in Weston, Massachusetts, a smart home featuring smart lighting, shades, sound, HVAC, and more was sold for .25 million.

These impressive smart home sales indicate the growing popularity and demand for integrated home automation systems among affluent homeowners.
