The Tunisian Ministry of Communication Technology has signed an agreement with Starlink, a US satellite communication company. The purpose of this agreement is to conduct a three-month pilot project aimed at installing broadband satellite technology in specific regions of Tunisia. The main objective of the project is to provide high-speed internet and reliable internet access to remote areas of the country.

As part of the agreement, Starlink will provide modifiers and satellite reception equipment for field testing in three cities: Tunis, Ariana, and Gabès. The project will also help establish the necessary regulatory frameworks for satellite technology and monitor the performance of satellite internet services in Tunisia.

This partnership between Starlink and Tunisia provides an opportunity for the country to explore the potential benefits of broadband satellite technology.
