True Anomaly, a spacecraft manufacturing company that recently emerged from stealth mode, has inaugurated its new facility called GravityWorks in Centennial, Colorado. The company aims to revolutionize the industry with its unique assembly line approach, which can reportedly produce a fully-tested satellite every five days. The 35,000-square-foot factory will primarily focus on the production of Jackal autonomous orbital vehicles (AOVs).

In addition to the factory opening, True Anomaly has also obtained a license from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to operate its first two Jackal vehicles for non-Earth imaging remote sensing. These vehicles will be equipped with advanced imaging capabilities such as radar, shortwave infrared, longwave infrared, and visible wide and narrow field of view imagery. Furthermore, True Anomaly has received authorizations from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to conduct on-ground testing of Jackal transmitters and to demonstrate spacecraft-to-spacecraft rendezvous once the vehicles are in orbit.

The launch of the two Jackal vehicles is scheduled for February 2024 as part of the SpaceX Transporter-10 mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base.

True Anomaly’s CEO, Even Rogers, expressed excitement about the new GravityWorks facility, emphasizing its role in delivering resilient offerings on a large scale to address the evolving space security and sustainability challenges faced by the United States and its allies.
