Tropical Storm Emily is currently located approximately 1000 miles west-northwest of The Cabo Verde Islands. The storm is moving towards the west-northwest at a speed of 10 mph. Satellite wind data indicates that Emily has maximum sustained winds of about 50 mph with higher gusts.

Over the next several days, Emily is expected to maintain its current motion. However, it is anticipated that the storm will gradually weaken and become a post-tropical remnant low by Tuesday. The estimated minimum central pressure of the storm is 1001 mb.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 185 miles from the center of the storm. At present, there are no coastal watches or warnings in effect. Therefore, there are no immediate land hazards associated with the storm.
