Mouser Supports Silicon Labs Product Development for IoT and Wireless Applications

Mouser, an authorised global distributor, partners with Silicon Labs to provide product development support for customers worldwide in IoT, lighting, and AI/ML applications. The partnership, which began in 2006, allows Mouser to stock over 1,250 different parts from Silicon Labs, including the EFR32BG24 Bluetooth wireless system-on-a-chip (SoC) devices.

The EFR32BG24 SoCs are designed for wireless connectivity using BLE and Bluetooth Mesh, enabling IoT designers to create smart and energy-efficient solutions quickly. These SoCs also incorporate security features to protect against cyberattacks. Offering low power consumption, an AI/ML hardware accelerator, and a high-performance 2.4GHz RF, the EFR32BG24 SoCs support various smart home applications like sensors, door locks, smart plugs, and portable medical devices.

Additionally, Mouser stocks the EFR32MG24 Series 2 multiprotocol wireless SoCs that provide excellent mesh wireless IoT connectivity utilizing Matter, OpenThread, and Zigbee protocols. These SoCs feature an Arm Cortex-M33 core, up to 1.5Mbytes of Flash, and 256Kbytes of RAM. They also include an AI/ML hardware accelerator for reliable performance in predictive maintenance, glass break detection, and wake-word detection.

For those interested in developing Amazon Sidewalk devices, Mouser offers the Silicon Labs Pro Kit for Amazon Sidewalk. This kit comes pre-programmed with Amazon Sidewalk firmware and is pre-registered on AWS. It simplifies the development process by featuring BLE, FSK, and CSS capabilities, allowing designers to focus on innovation rather than testing and integration. Amazon Sidewalk creates shared wireless networks that connect IoT devices beyond the smart home, extending throughout the neighborhood and city.

Mouser also provides the BT122-DK4315B BLE module development kit, which serves as a demonstration and development platform for the BT122 wireless module. The kit includes a BT122-DK4315B board with push buttons, LEDs, a temperature sensor, and a relative humidity sensor. It incorporates a J-Link debugger with a high-speed UART to USB bridge. For convenience, a mini-simplicity connector offers current consumption measurements, and breakout pads are provided for all module pins.

With its extensive stock of Silicon Labs products and support for various applications, Mouser continues to be a reliable distributor for IoT, wireless, and intelligent technologies.
