Fibocom’s module, FM160-EAU, which is compliant with 3GPP Release 16, has successfully passed Telstra’s testing on their 5G network. The FM160-EAU module has been specifically designed to provide high-performance 5G broadband service. It has been verified on Telstra’s network and is well-suited for applications in industries such as fixed wireless access (FWA), security monitoring, and Industrial IoT in the regional market.

The demand for broadband services in regional and remote areas of Australia has been rapidly increasing. The national broadband network (NBN) predicts that FWA services will cover over 120,000 homes and business units by the end of 2024.
