Dough Unveils the Spectrum Black: A 32-Inch 4K OLED Gaming Monitor

Dough has recently announced the release of its new monitor, the Spectrum Black. Boasting a 32-inch 4K OLED screen with a 240Hz refresh rate, this monitor is shaping up to be one of the best gaming monitors of 2024. Set to launch in April 2024, the Spectrum Black is expected to be the first of its kind on the market.

While the design of the monitor is simple, its specifications are what set it apart. With a response time of 0.03ms and high refresh rates, the Spectrum Black promises to deliver a solid gaming experience. The VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification ensures sharp imagery and strong contrasts on the 32-inch screen.

Customers will have two options for the Spectrum Black 4K: a glossy glass screen version and a matte version. Both models feature Gorilla Glass covering, which has been showcased in a video by Dough. The company has also hinted at implementing Black Frame Insertion (BFI) technology to enhance visual clarity and performance for fast-paced games.

In terms of connectivity, the Spectrum Black offers all the expected ports, including DisplayPort, HDMI, USB-C with 100 watts of power delivery, regular USB-C, USB-A, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Dough has been simultaneously working on the development of the Spectrum Black and its 27-inch 1440p version, which is already available. The new model will reuse some components from its predecessor, potentially contributing to the tight launch schedule.

Dough follows its previous sales model for the Spectrum Black, offering lower prices for earlier pre-orders. The starting prices are 9 for the matte model and 9 for the glass model. These prices will gradually increase until reaching the final prices of ,099 and ,299 respectively. Pre-orders will be available soon, and interested individuals can sign up for Dough’s mailing list to stay informed.

While the Spectrum Black appears to be an impressive monitor, it’s important to note that pre-ordering always comes with some level of uncertainty. The true performance of the monitor will remain unknown until early reviewers have the opportunity to test it. Additionally, there has been controversy surrounding Dough’s pre-order model in the past, with reports of unfulfilled or delayed orders. However, Dough plans to sell the monitors through reputable retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, and B&H, providing customers with alternative purchasing options.
