Brsk Chooses Neos Networks for National Backhaul Services

Network builder and broadband ISP, Brsk, has selected Neos Networks to provide diverse national backhaul services as they expand their coverage. Brsk has already deployed their gigabit-speed Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network to cover 266,000 UK premises, with a goal of reaching 1 million homes by 2026.

Last year, Brsk secured up to £178m in funding to support their expansion plans. They currently focus their rollout in parts of Greater Manchester, Lancashire, West Yorkshire, and the West Midlands. Some of their existing locations include Cottingley, Keighley, Bingley, Bradford, Queensbury, Thornton, and Accrington.

To support their growth, Brsk needs ample data capacity, which is why they have chosen Neos Networks and their 100Gbps optical connectivity. Neos Networks initially provided 10Gbps Ethernet services, but as Brsk’s customer numbers grew, the connections were migrated to 100Gbps optical services. Neos Networks operates a fibre network that spans 34,000km and 550 UK exchanges.

Brsk has made significant progress, with 266,000 premises passed, up from the 200,000 announced in May 2023. However, it is unclear if all these premises are ready for service.

Jody Botham, Head of Networks at Brsk, expressed their commitment to providing customers with high-quality and reliable broadband. They also aim to offer the resilience and capacity expected of connectivity services. Botham credited Neos Networks for supporting Brsk’s growth plans and enabling them to quickly scale their backhaul.

Sarah Mills, Chief Revenue Officer at Neos Networks, highlighted their dedication to delivering high-quality connectivity across the UK. They are excited to support Brsk in bringing high-speed and high-capacity broadband to areas often overlooked by larger players in the industry.

Brsk’s standard prices typically start from £25 per month for an unlimited 100Mbps symmetric speed package, rising to £45 for their top 900Mbps package. Currently, they are offering the top package for £30 until the end of the month.
