Apple Introduces Double Tap Feature for Apple Watch

Apple has launched its new Double Tap feature for Apple Watch, allowing users to perform tasks on the display by pressing their thumb and index finger together. The feature was first revealed at the Wonderlust event in September and is now available on Apple Watch models with the latest watchOS 10.1 software upgrade. However, it is only compatible with the new Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2, powered by the Apple S9 processor. Watch Series 7 and Watch Series 8 users will not have access to the Double Tap feature.

Some of the key functions of Double Tap include opening Smart Stack, answering calls, replying to messages, pausing timers, and more. This new feature aims to enhance the user experience and provide easier control of the Apple Watch using just one hand without touching the display.

Apple is set to host an online event on Halloween, October 31, where they are expected to unveil new Macs and potentially other products. Rumors suggest that new MacBook Pro laptops and a new 24-inch iMac could be announced during the event, which has been dubbed “Scary Fast” by Apple.
