L.A. Free-Net (LAFN) has its beginnings in 1994. Everything started with the idea of local physicians who needed to change something in medical information. It’s a non-profit organization, operating under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revue Service tax code. The service is free of banner ads & pop-ups. Dial-up access is delivered toll-free across California and major cities of 45 other states. The company has also in its offer a low-cost DSL access that’s available in California & 12 other states in areas where AT&T telephone service works.
Description
LAFN offers Dial-in connection that is a service available only in California. There are for sure session limits of 1 hour a day. No automatic redial is allowed to be used. This service doesn’t cover the whole territory of Santa Barbara and San Bernardino but they can be covered by Extended Service. Examples: 4 hour sessions are available from midnight to 4 a.m., 2 hour sessions are available from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m.
