The Hebrides.net web portal is so called the gateway to the Connected Communities. This is a project (c/c Scotnet) - a broadband network for businesses’ and residential customers’ needs. The Network is a project that is led by Highlands & Islands Enterprise. It’s 1 of the first and the biggest in the UK to incorporate the recently licensed 5.8GHz radio frequency bands.Connected Communities Broadband is an innovative project of Hebrides.net with a goal to deliver broadband services to rural communities throughout the Western Isles.

Hebrides.net offers local broadband that speeds up to 1024 Kbps. Contention is set to 50:1. Monthly transfer limit is 30GB. There is no web space allocation with IP addressing (dynamic). You get 5 POP3. All contracts are set for 12 months with monthly payments.
