Uganda Telecom is a well known Telecommunications Company in Uganda. It's also Uganda’s first Telecommunication operator. They have owned a Full Telecommunications Operator license. They have emerged in the IT area in the 1970’s. Uganda Telecom was incorporated in 1998 as a Public Limited Liability Company. Uganda Telecom Limited (UTL) is Uganda’s national fixed line, mobile as well as Internet provider. LAP GreenN has acquired their shares 69% . The rest is held by Government of Uganda (31%).
Description
Uganda Telecom offers a type of dedicated connection in which you may find some attributes of broadband. It uses a data line via copper and a customer has a modem at their side, but the speeds are higher (faster) than in the position of ADSL or ISDN can support. Bandwidth over dedicated can be at as low speeds as 32Kbps down 32Kbps up to 100Mbps down over NGN. Today are deploying more links over ADSL. This is for pe ople that don’t Reed super speeds to use the Internet connectivity.
