Maxwell Technology was established in 2007. At first it was an independent provider of last-mile and satellite-based connectivity. Their offers were directed to mining, exploration and engineering businesses in Africa. Maxwell Technology offers a unique range of products. Some of the services are also dedicated to rural areas. Now they have in their offer a wide range of VSAT starting from VSAT to broadband solutions (also supporting from VoIP to analogue faxing and credit card terminals over IP).

Maxwell has in its offer a broadband satellite connectivity options addressing the needs of users in and under-serviced areas. Maxwell’s satellite Internet works just like satellite TV: A satellite in orbit over the equator communicates directly to a small dish outside your home or workplace, providing you with reliable, high-speed Internet access. The hardware required comprises in essence of a compact satellite dish mounted to point generally north, a satellite modem managing the communication with the satellite, a router for establishing a Wi-fi hot spot and the necessary cables and connectors. The installation of the system takes around 3 hours during which the hardware is mounted, wired and the dish focused on the satellite.
