Provision of Internet Access Facilities Good day sir, my name is Chris Ugochukwu and I am a student of Federal University of Technology, Owerri. It is important for every institution of higher learning to have facilities that aid teaching and learning available to everyone within the institution at request. Such facilities are numerous but among them is Internet Access Facilities. In a country like Nigeria where data plans are offered at high costs with little data caps, students of polytechnics, colleges of education and universities are forced to make do with the little data bundle plans offered to them by these mobile internet service providers. These data plans are barely enough to cover daily assignment researches, project works and seminar topics. Aside all these, some lecturers use the same old lecture notes over again without making researches to latest technological advancements that correlates the course of study either because of their inability to research or absence of internet facilities to aid their research works. It is unfortunate most Nigerian universities, polytechnics and colleges of education are facing these challenges and it is sad my school, a federal university of technology happens to be among. Providing internet facility that is accessible by everyone within the school environment will go a long way in improving not only the academic performance of the institution but the IT sector as well. Certain activities that require students queuing up, staff moving from part of the school to another can be improved when everyone has access to the internet. The service your company will render to my school will be profitable to you as well. Your company provides internet facilities that is beneficial to corporate organizations and educational institutions. I wish to know if such facilities can be extended to my school. Thank you. |
