Verizon Enhances 5G Network in Orlando with Additional Spectrum

Verizon recently announced that customers in Orlando will now experience faster speeds on their phones, thanks to the addition of more spectrum in the area. The company gained access to the total amount of 5G C-band spectrum four months ahead of schedule.

This development means that residents and visitors in Orlando will now have access to a full 140 MHz of spectrum, which more than doubles the 5G bandwidth available to serve customers. As a result, customers can expect higher data speeds and better overall performance.

Verizon’s early access to the remaining C-band spectrum allows them to surpass their original projections. This additional spectrum will enable the availability of 5G Ultra Wideband to more Americans and expand the reach of their home and business broadband solutions. By deploying more spectrum on their network, Verizon increases their capacity to connect customers.

The acquisition of the C-band spectrum was secured through a recent FCC C-Band auction. This is just one of the many improvements that Verizon is making in Orlando. In June, the company announced its plans to overhaul its network architecture to accommodate the growing data usage in the area.

These network upgrades include deploying new cell sites to extend coverage and capacity in local communities. Verizon also aims to enhance the fiber optic cables to handle larger volumes of data and expand bandwidth on the cellular network to support new services such as wireless internet for homes and businesses.

Overall, Verizon’s efforts to enhance its 5G network in Orlando will provide customers with a better mobile experience, faster speeds, and improved connectivity across the city.
