The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC Expansion for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Revealed

The Pokémon Company has given a detailed look into the upcoming DLC expansion for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet called The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. This expansion, which was announced earlier this year, aims to provide players with a vast amount of new content, including more Pokémon and areas to explore. The DLC is divided into two parts: The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk.

The Teal Mask DLC will kick off with the player joining a field trip led by a new teacher named Briar. This field trip takes place in Kitakami, a community immersed in nature. Players will encounter various Pokémon from the area’s folklore as they explore the region. The DLC will introduce new characters like trainers Carmin and Kieran from Blueberry Academy and a photographer named Perrin. In addition, players will have access to a new Roto Stick Photo Mode, courtesy of Perrin.

One exciting feature of The Teal Mask is the introduction of a new minigame called Ogre Outsin. Players can earn mochi in this game, which can be used to modify a Pokémon’s base stats. This DLC is set to release on September 13.

The Indigo Disk DLC, scheduled for release later this winter, takes place at the Blueberry Academy. Players will get to explore a giant terrarium with four new biomes and encounter new Pokémon, like the Duraludon evolution named Archaludon. The highlight of this DLC is joining and challenging the school’s BB League, which features a unique Elite Four and a customizable League Club Room. The adventure concludes with players discovering the hidden treasure of Area Zero.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are currently available for Nintendo Switch. Players can look forward to The Teal Mask DLC on September 13, with The Indigo Disk DLC coming later this winter.
