Medical technology company Masimo has introduced the Stork smart home baby monitoring system in the United States. The system is available in various configurations, including Stork Vitals+ and Vitals.

Stork Vitals+ consists of a video camera, a sensor-equipped boot, and a mobile app. The camera features high-resolution visuals for improved nighttime vision, along with quality two-way audio that allows parents to hear and communicate with their babies. The camera also includes room condition monitoring to provide accurate reporting of temperature and humidity.

All components of the system are connected to the Masimo Stork app, which allows parents to access their baby’s monitoring data and view summaries of averages and trends.

For those who don’t require video streaming or want to monitor their baby beyond their home, the Stork Vitals solution replaces the camera with a health hub. This hub connects the Stork boot and sensor to the Stork app, enabling parents to listen to their baby and monitor the room environment.

Utilizing Masimo’s noninvasive hospital neonate monitoring technologies, the Stork system offers features such as 2K quad-high-definition capable video, a user-friendly mobile app, secure and encrypted connectivity, as well as continuous health data tracking.

According to Masimo founder and CEO Joe Kiani, the launch of Stork allows parents to access technology originally developed for hospital patients. The user interface provided by the app on a phone is simple and easy to use.

Stork Vitals+, Vitals, and camera combinations can now be purchased from major retailers, including Best Buy, and specialty retailers like Babylist.
