RGU: A University with Financial Concerns

RGU, once known for its reputation, is now being criticized for its money-centric approach. The university seems to neglect its responsibility for student issues, particularly when it comes to refunding money.

Several months ago, RGU charged an exorbitant fee of 700 rupees for the RGUCET entrance exam. Despite the high fee, the university failed to provide a smooth payment process. Students were left frustrated as a cheap website was put in place, which frequently crashed during the payment process.

I had a similar experience where I was robbed by RGU when their website crashed during my payment. Like many other students, I had to pay two to three times the amount to successfully complete the transaction. It is disheartening to realize that RGU refuses to return the extra money, even when visiting their VSAT office with a refund request. Students are met with excuses and unfulfilled promises.

It is crucial for RGU to stop exploiting students financially and take responsibility for their actions. Additionally, upgrading their website and improving the functionality of the contact numbers listed on their official website should also be a priority.

RGU needs to be more responsive to student concerns and prioritize the well-being of its students. Transparency and fair treatment of students must be prioritized over monetary gains. It is essential for the university to regain its credibility and focus on providing quality education and support to its students.

This situation calls for a thorough investigation and measures to be put in place to ensure that students are not taken advantage of financially. The administration should take immediate action to rectify this issue and regain the trust of its students and the community.
