North Korea Plans to Launch Artificial Satellite

North Korea has informed the Japanese government of its intention to launch an artificial satellite between Thursday and midnight on August 30. The target areas for the launch are the Yellow Sea, the East China Sea, and waters east of Luzon Island in the Philippines.

In response to this notification, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has ordered government staff to gather and analyze intelligence related to the launch. The Prime Minister has also called for cooperation with the United States and South Korea to demand that North Korea halt the launch and to be prepared for any contingencies.

This is not the first time that North Korea has made such a notification. On May 29, they announced a satellite launch, which the Japanese government interpreted as a ballistic missile launch. The launch on May 31 ended in failure. North Korea has stated its intention to make a second attempt at launching a satellite soon.

The Japanese government is taking this latest announcement seriously and is making efforts to gather all available information and ensure the safety and security of its citizens.
