Hughes Network Systems Receives 0 Million U.S. Space Force Contract

Hughes Network Systems, a subsidiary of EchoStar, has secured a position on a 0 million contract with the U.S. Space Force. The five-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity agreement allows the Department of Defense, other federal agencies, and international coalition partners to access low-latency satellite-based services provided by Hughes. This contract provides cost-effective solutions and increased reliability and resiliency in satellite communications for the DOD in all domains. Hughes will utilize capacity from two satellite constellations, OneWeb and EchoStar Lyra, to meet the SATCOM needs of the public sector. With its OneWeb and EchoStar Lyra systems, Hughes can offer robust and resilient low-latency connectivity to government clients at a competitive price.
