Artificial Intelligence Chatbot Upgrades for ChatGPT Plus Users

OpenAI has rolled out new beta features for ChatGPT Plus members. Subscribers can now upload files and work with them, along with receiving multimodal support. The chatbot will no longer require users to manually select modes like Browse with Bing; instead, it will predict the mode based on context. These features bring some of the office capabilities of ChatGPT Enterprise plan to individual chatbot subscribers.

While the multimodal update hasn’t been received by all Plus plan users yet, the Advanced Data Analysis feature has been tested by some. Once a file is uploaded to ChatGPT, it takes a short period to process before the chatbot is ready to work with it. The chatbot can then perform tasks such as summarizing data, answering questions, or generating data visualizations based on prompts.

Furthermore, the chatbot is not restricted to text files alone. An example posted on Threads showcased how a user uploaded an image of a capybara and requested ChatGPT, utilizing DALL-E 3, to create a Pixar-style image based on it. The user then uploaded another image, a wiggly skateboard, to further modify the concept. Interestingly, the chatbot added a hat to the image.

OpenAI continues to enhance the capabilities of their chatbot, providing users with new and intuitive features. These updates empower users to work with different file types and leverage multimodal support, expanding the capabilities of ChatGPT Plus.
