A Possible Launch Window for SpaceX Starlink Satellite Mission from Cape Canaveral

There is a possibility of a launch window opening on Saturday night for the next SpaceX Starlink internet satellite mission from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, according to navigational warnings. The National Weather Service predicts mostly clear conditions at the launch site, with a low temperature of around 73 degrees Fahrenheit and east-northeast winds of approximately 10 mph.

Although SpaceX has not yet confirmed the existence of the Starlink 6-25 mission, advisories from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and the Federal Aviation Administration indicate a launch window extending from 7:13 to 11:44 p.m. EDT on Saturday.

If the launch takes place, it would be the 59th orbital launch from Cape Canaveral this year, surpassing the previous annual record of 57 launches set in 2020. This milestone was achieved on October 21 with the successful Starlink mission from Launch Complex 40.

As of now, the Space Force’s 45th Weather Squadron has not issued a launch forecast for Saturday night. This potential SpaceX launch attempt follows the recent cancellation of the Department of Defense’s plan to launch a hypersonic missile from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket is expected to launch the latest batch of Starlink internet satellites from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The trajectory of the launch will be southeast, and there will be no local sonic boom. The booster landing is planned on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean.

Live coverage of the launch will start 90 minutes before liftoff and can be accessed at floridatoday.com/space.
