Zong Collaborates with HANDS to Establish Digital Learning Program in Pakistan

Zong, a leading telecommunication network in Pakistan, has formed a partnership with the Health and Nutrition Development Society (HANDS) to introduce a transformative learning program in underprivileged areas of the country. The collaboration aims to establish a state-of-the-art digital laboratory at the FAS Noor Muhammad School in Karachi, equipped with advanced computing technology.

The primary objective of the project is to enhance students’ technical skills and prepare them for the digital world, thereby creating employment opportunities for the youth. This initiative will empower young individuals to seek the best employment prospects and contribute to the country’s development.

Initially, the program will accommodate 91 candidates, with more than half of them being females. The establishment of this digital education hub will bridge the gap in digital accessibility and equip the youth with essential knowledge required in today’s digital era. Zong4G and HANDS are working together to provide computing assets and educational instruments to support this endeavor.

Furthermore, the collaboration between Zong 4G and HANDS aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They aim to utilize technology-infused solutions in their upcoming projects to bring about positive change across various sectors.

Zong 4G expressed its enthusiasm for this alliance, with a representative stating their commitment to making a positive societal impact through technology. They believe that the digital center will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the young students.

Dr. Ahmed Tanveer Sheikh, CEO of HANDS, also emphasized the significance of the partnership, highlighting their ongoing efforts to uplift underprivileged communities. The collaboration with Zong 4G will empower students and grant them access to digital educational resources, enabling them to unlock their potential and embark on new journeys.

Through this strategic partnership, HANDS and Zong 4G work together to promote sustainable progress and creativity. By leveraging technology to extend digital opportunities, they aim to transform the lives of the youth and contribute to the development of the entire nation.
