Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology Holds Orientation Session for Engineering Departments

The departments of Electronic Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Computer Engineering at Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET) recently organized an orientation session for students and their parents. During the event, a total of 68 student projects were displayed, with 23 projects being sponsored by Ignite.

In the Electrical Department, 18 projects were presented, including 4 sponsored by Ignite. The Electronic Engineering Department showcased 17 projects, with 6 funded by Ignite. The Biomedical Engineering Department featured 12 projects, 5 of which were sponsored by Ignite. The Computer Engineering Department exhibited 13 projects, 4 of which were funded by Ignite. Additionally, the Telecommunication Engineering Department presented 8 projects, including 4 Ignite-funded projects.

Vice Chancellor of SSUET, Prof Dr Vali Uddin, commended the university for its ranking among the best in Pakistan and emphasized its focus on developing new ideas, concepts, theories, and dreams. He highlighted the university’s experienced faculty and encouraged students to strive for academic excellence.

Registrar Syed Sarfraz Ali emphasized that Sir Syed University is an ideological institution established in pursuit of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan’s vision. He stated that the university aims to prepare future leaders for the nation.

The event was supervised by Dr Muhammad Aamir, the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He praised Sir Syed University for its contribution to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and emphasized the university’s focus on producing skilled professionals and fostering independent thinking.

The orientation session was attended by deans, chairmen, faculty members, as well as students and their parents.
