Russian Aerospace Forces Launch Multiple Military Satellites into Orbit

The Russian Aerospace Forces have successfully put multiple military satellites into orbit, according to a statement by the Russian Defense Ministry. The launch took place on October 27, with a Soyuz-2.1b rocket being deployed from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome for military purposes.

The Plesetsk Cosmodrome, located in the northwest of Russia, is a commonly used launch site for military satellites. This marks the fourth military aircraft launch from Plesetsk that Moscow has reported this year, with previous launches occurring on August 14, March 23, and May 27.

Russia has been actively launching military satellites, particularly since the start of the war with Ukraine in February 2022. In December of last year, several military satellites were also launched.

The Russian Aerospace Forces’ satellite launches serve various military purposes, and the deployment of these satellites contributes to Russia’s defense and surveillance capabilities.

This latest achievement highlights Russia’s ongoing efforts in advancing its space capabilities for military applications.
