Lenovo is reportedly working on its own gaming handheld device to compete with the likes of the Steam Deck and Asus ROG Ally. High-quality renders of the rumored device, called Lenovo Legion Go, have surfaced, suggesting that this is more than just a rumor. The design appears to take inspiration from competitors like the Nintendo Switch.

The Lenovo Legion Go features detachable controllers that are reminiscent of the Joy-Cons used by the Nintendo Switch. It also includes a stand at the back, indicating that it could be suitable for co-op gaming on the go. This design allows users to set it down and play without having to hold it in their hands constantly.

The button placement on the detachable controllers resembles the Asus ROG Ally, while a trackpad similar to the Steam Deck has also been spotted. An interesting addition to the right controller is a wheel.

The handheld console boasts an 8-inch screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It includes two USB-C ports, a headphone jack, and a micro-SD slot for additional storage. The device has a number of vents on the back, which could potentially help with thermal issues.

While the hardware specifications of the Lenovo Legion Go are still unknown, it is speculated that it may house an AMD APU, possibly from the Phoenix lineup. It is also rumored to run on Windows 11.
