In July, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN-SPACe) issued an Expression of Interest (EoI) to shortlist Indian entities experienced in the aerospace sector. The selected entities will have the opportunity to absorb the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV) technology developed by ISRO.

L&T, with its expertise in engineering, construction, and infrastructure, is well-positioned to enter the satellite launch market. The company is known for its proficiency in executing complex projects and has successfully completed major infrastructure projects in India and abroad.

By expanding into satellite launch operations, L&T aims to compete with industry leaders like SpaceX, which has gained significant recognition for its advancements in space technology.
