Iran has made substantial progress in its civilian space program, positioning itself as one of the top 10 nations capable of satellite development and launch. Despite enduring sanctions imposed by Western countries, the nation has achieved significant milestones in satellite technology.

The collaborative efforts of various organizations, including the development of satellites and satellite carriers like the Simorgh (Phoenix), have contributed to Iran’s success in this field. As part of their plan, Iran aims to launch 2 to 3 satellites this year.

Furthermore, the Iranian defense minister introduced the Mohajer-10, an advanced indigenous drone with an impressive operational range of 2,000 km (1,240 miles) and the ability to remain airborne for up to 24 hours. This achievement is the result of extensive efforts and the defense minister hinted at even more remarkable capabilities that will be revealed gradually.

The defense minister also expressed the willingness of the Defense Ministry to enter the automotive industry if requested. Iran’s automotive sector, the nation’s largest industry outside of oil and gas, has faced challenges due to unlawful sanctions. These restrictions have resulted in significant losses for car manufacturers, scarcity of vehicles, and elevated prices.
