The Iranian Space Agency has announced a significant development in the construction of high-precision observation satellites. The head of Iran’s Space Agency, Hossein Salariyeh, stated that two important projects, named ‘Pars 2’ and ‘Pars 3,’ have officially begun their design and construction phases.

The Pars 2 satellite project aims to build an observation satellite with a 4-meter imaging precision. The design and construction process for this satellite have already started. Additionally, the Pars 3 satellite project, touted as the most modern and highly accurate imaging satellite developed by Iran, has also entered its design and construction phases. The satellite is expected to have an imaging precision of approximately 2 meters.

The announcement was made at an event marking the launch of the space news section of the Tasnim News Agency website. The inauguration ceremony, attended by national figures including government spokesman Ali Bahadri Jahormi, emphasized the growing importance of the space sector in Iran.

The Tasnim News Agency website will now cover space news from Iran and around the world. The event was also attended by key figures in the field of space and astronomy, including representatives from the Ministry of Defense’s Aerospace Group and the Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences.

This progress in designing and building high-precision observation satellites is expected to lead to the unveiling of the satellite in the near future.
