India’s Suhora Technologies Partners with Finland’s ICEYE for SAR Technology

India’s software and geospatial intelligence company, Suhora Technologies, has announced a partnership with ICEYE, a global leader in synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) technology. This collaboration is one of the largest SAR deals in Asia.

Suhora specializes in providing integrative, real-time, actionable solutions by integrating SAR, optical, and thermal data. Their goal is to offer continuous monitoring capabilities in all weather conditions, day and night. The company focuses on spatial science, earth data, and artificial intelligence to provide solutions across various sectors, including defense, agriculture, environment, and infrastructure.

Through this partnership, Suhora will have access to ICEYE’s high-quality satellite imagery of any location on the planet. This access empowers Suhora to provide advanced monitoring and analytical geospatial solutions to its users.

ICEYE owns and operates the world’s largest SAR satellite constellation, consisting of more than two dozen satellites in low earth orbit. This constellation is designed to offer reliable and frequent high-resolution imagery collections, enabling rapid detection and tracking of changes on the Earth’s surface, regardless of time of day or weather conditions.

The use of SAR technology is crucial for situational awareness and timely decision-making in sectors like insurance, national security, natural catastrophe response and recovery, humanitarian relief, and climate change monitoring.

Suhora’s COO and Co-Founder, Amit Kumar, highlighted their expertise in working with SAR data and the ability to create tailored services for various organizations. He emphasized the multiple use cases of SAR data in different verticals and their goal to leverage geospatial data to solve Earth’s problems and ensure its safety and sustainability.

Rupesh Kumar, CTO, and Co-Founder of Suhora, mentioned the value of SAR data and the insights that can be extracted when combined with AI and ML capabilities. He emphasized their exclusive learning algorithms and ICEYE Data as the fusion of cutting-edge technology and intelligent analysis, unlocking a world of insights from the invisible spectrum.
